The LPGA announced the 2008 schedule today. They added more events from last year and more prize money! Okay the first thing I did was to check if The Mitchell Company Tournament of Champions was still on the schedule and did they increase the lousy $150K prize money for next year, and guess what it’s gone! Zippo. It’s not on the schedule for next year! Lorena Ochoa has her own tournament now in the same timeframe. The Lorena Ochoa Invitation will be played in her hometown of Guadalajara, Mexico, November 13 -16, 2008. This is great news for Lorena and her hometown fans!

The Pink Panther of women’s golf also known as Paula Creamer wins the LPGA 2007 Tournament of Champions. Way to go Paula! Paula wins 8 strokes over her second place competitor Birdie Kim. Watching the 21 year old California girl sink one birdie after another was just amazing! Paula is called the Pink Panther because she always wearing something pink! Love it!
Today she was pretty in pink and even golfing with a bright pink ball! Now that’s the first time I’ve seen some a LPGA golfer using a pink ball during a championship event. It was pretty cool because once she hit the ball off the tee you could really pick up the ball in the air on T.V. Here’s an example of a very humble, down to earth, hardworking young golfer kick some major golf butt! I can’t believe she only wins $150K for this tournament? That wouldn’t happen on the PGA, grrrrr. My girl Natalie took 3rd place! This week is the final LPGA tournament of the year, boo hoo. The LPGA ADT Playoffs this week should be a great tournament with all these talented women golfers. Can’t wait to see who wins!

Have you seen the new LPGA logo? I’m not sure what the heck they were thinking? The old logo needed an update but the new one looks like circa 1980. A newer, modern looking logo would make sense but those colors are just awful. If you look at the new logo items in the LPGA Pro shop the logo does look better when it’s all white against a color background. At least they kept the slogan: These Girls Rock! That’s a more modern take on women golfers! All 6 million of us 
Still love the LPGA and looking forward to the upcoming ADT Championships, November 15-18 in West Palm Beach, FL at the Trump Golf Club.
